Sinister danger as Nick and Toyah are stalked in Coronation Street

The trouble continues for Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) next week in Coronation Street as they once again establish someone is following them.

A few weeks ago, once Nick and Toyah realised a romantic connection was growing between them, they shared a kiss on the balcony of their flat.

Toyah and Nick were so caught up in the moment they failed to spot someone taking a photograph of them from the builder’s yard. This image was then passed to Rowan (Emryhs Cooper), the leader of the cult Leanne (Jane Danson) is part of. He smirked when he saw it, knowing this would be perfect to blackmail Nick and Toyah.

Away from the affair, Toyah is also facing a stressful ordeal after being told she may have ovarian cancer. Initially, Toyah thought she was pregnant but at hospital, the doctor confirmed her test was altered due to the possibility of her having the illness.

Coming up, Leanne tries to speak to Rowan about an article but he manages to pull the wool over her eyes. Despairing at Leanne’s naivety, Toyah heads off for her hospital appointment alone, but is moved when Nick turns up so they can see the consultant together.

In the week, Toyah once again heads to an appointment all alone at the hospital, but is touched when she finds Nick waiting for her.

As they hug, Nick spots a man taking a photo again.

Convinced Rowan is behind it, Nick grows determined to sort him out, but what will he do?

‘We are going to learn more about his chequered past’, actor Emryhs teased.

‘I think he’s such a master-manipulator that he can spin it and still work it in his favour, turning his past into what helped him grow into who he is now.’

Adding that there is still ‘a bit more of a journey’ ahead for Leanne, he also told us that Rowan truly believes in what the cult stands for – something which us viewers know little about.

‘I think it’s an interesting duality. He does really believe in it, but at the same time he is taking advantage and he’s aware of that – he’s justifying his actions.’
