Emmerdale villain Tom King refuses to let his estranged wife Belle move on without him in sinister scenes next week.

The ITV soap is exploring a new stage of the couple’s domestic abuse storyline following Belle’s decision to leave Tom.

Belle recently headed off to Scotland to visit her family after splitting from Tom following the

disturbing events of their holiday in Wales.

While Belle has taken back some power for herself, scheming Tom hopes to regain control as he organises a surprise for her.

Once Belle arrives back in the village, Sarah Sugden steps in on Tom’s behalf by revealing that he has bought her a retro mini.

Tom continues to ignore the boundaries that Belle has set by letting himself into Dale Head without her permission. He immediately puts pressure on Belle, telling her that he wants to talk about getting back together.

Belle bravely stands up to Tom by refusing to accept the car and making it clear that she doesn’t want to reunite. However, she soon becomes anxious as manipulative Tom tries to make her feel guilty for rejecting him.

Although Tom tries various tricks to talk Belle round, she still refuses to let him back into her life.

Tom finally appears to accept defeat as Belle warns that she doesn’t want anything to do with him for a long time.

As Tom agrees to her terms and heads off, Belle is stunned that he seems to be listening to her at last.

Later, however, Tom sits alone in The Woolpack’s beer garden and he spies on Belle using some secret security feeds he has set up. It seems that Belle’s ordeal with the evil abuser isn’t over.
