Next week, Tracy McDonald will return to the Cobbles. Viewers must remember that she left Weatherfield in April. Her move to Spain with her boyfriend, Tommy Orpington, not only broke her husband Steve McDonald’s heart but fans were devastated, too.

While she was away, a lot changed in the town. Dad Ken Barlow got super sick and needed a caretaker. Also, her daughter Amy Barlow got involved with Leanne Battersby and her cult, The Institute. But what shocks Tracy is that Ken has hired Cassie Plummer as his carer.

However, she is still unaware of the sparks flying between Cassie and Steve. In the coming episodes, Tracy comments on Cassie’s employment, which offends Cassie. Although Tracy insists she is here to see Amy, Ken doubts there’s more. Well, we can’t agree! Tracy is definitely hiding something big.

But what could it be? Additionally, Steve had feelings for her wife till the last moment she left. He made multiple attempts to win her back. Has he moved on? Or will he give it a second try?
