In a heartwarming display of camaraderie, “Coronation Street” legend Sam Aston has shared a touching message of affection for his co-stars Dolly-Rose Campbell and Jane Hazelgrove. Sam, who has been a beloved part of the ITV soap since 2003, has recently faced some challenging storylines, including financial struggles and the threat of homelessness for his character Chesney Brown’s large family. Chesney, along with his wife Gemma, their quadruplets, and Gemma’s son Joseph from a previous relationship, has been under significant stress. Adding to the complexity, Gemma’s estranged son, Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts, has recently purchased Number Five Coronation Street to secure their home as his tenants.

Despite these on-screen challenges, Sam, Dolly, and Jane took a moment to relax together, and their close bond was evident in a recent social media post. Jane shared a photo on Instagram showing her and Dolly peacefully asleep with their heads resting on Sam’s shoulders. She captioned the image, “Everybody needs a Chesney for a pillow. When me and @dollyrosecampbell need a little snooze, this man @samaston93 has broad shoulders—bless him. He loves us madly.”

Sam responded with heartfelt sincerity, saying, “I can’t believe you posted it. Love you really.” This warm exchange was met with enthusiastic support from other “Coronation Street” cast members. Max Turner actor Paddy Beaver commented on still hearing their laughter, while Sally Carman, known for her role as Abi Webster, expressed her affection with a comment saying, “Love this.” Dolly-Rose Campbell added three heart-eyed emojis, reflecting the mutual admiration and support among the cast.

As “Coronation Street” moves forward, the storyline will continue to focus on the Brown family, especially with the impending storyline involving Paul Foreman, played by Peter Ash, as he faces the devastating effects of terminal motor neurone disease.
