Married At First Sight star Ash Galati was left ‘rattled’ when his new wife Madeleine Maxwell had a ‘physic’ outburst over their dinner date during Tuesday’s episode.
The sales manager, 33, was visibly shocked when physic medium Madeleine, 30, said she was receiving messages from ‘spirits’ on the last night of their honeymoon.
She told Ash how she was hearing voices talking about him, closing her eyes to communicate with the spirits, as her new husband watched on wide-eyed.
It came after Ash was left confused during their afternoon outing when she broke down in tears upon seeing a herd of cows, after having eaten beef the night before.
The final night of their honeymoon took an awkward turn when Madeleine started communicating with spirits during their dinner, with Ash sharing his confusion.
Trying to bond with Madeleine, Ash asked his new wife: ‘We are going in the deep end, are you ready, because I’m vibing it. Are you ready in this experiment for people asking questions?’
However, there was an awkward silence as Madeleine shut her eyes and began talking, revealing that the spirits were communicating with her.
She said: ‘Sorry they’re talking to me now, I love you, yes and they don’t like me doing this. I love you, hold on.
‘Yeah I know, it’s hard because they all want to talk, everyone wants to talk to you, and I want them to be able to communicate, but I don’t too, because it’s like scary.’
Speaking to camera, Ash admitted: ‘I don’t know what is going on. Things are good and then she started hearing voices, and they were talking about me.’
At the dinner table, Madeleine told Ash: ‘I love you and I’m so sorry. I do not mean to scare you – hold on.’
Ash asked her: ‘Are they still talking to you?’ with Madeleine replying: ‘Oh yes, hold on.’
Ash insisted he had ‘never encountered voices at the dinner table’ before, and started awkwardly laughing as Madeleine sat with her eyes closed.
Speaking to camera, he admitted: ‘I probably shouldn’t be laughing about it but to me it’s so crazy that it’s the only emotion that I have.’
Madeleine assured him that everything the spirits were saying about him was good and said she wanted them to ‘go away’ so she could focus on their conversation.
Speaking to camera, Madeleine said of the encounter: ‘When a message comes through for someone and it’s from a spirit, I will always tell them, I don’t give a f**k what anyone thinks about me.’
‘I feel like he was rattled,’ she added, looking dismayed.
Heading off to the bathroom, Madeleine apologised to Ash before saying: ‘This is why I’m a f**king weirdo, no I am, I’m a f**king weirdo, it’s annoying.’
After she left the table, Ash looked completely baffled as he said to himself: ‘What was that man, what the f**k?’
It came after a rocky afternoon for the couple when Ash was left confused by Madeleine crying upon seeing a herd of cows, despite having ate beef for dinner the night before.
Madeleine broke down in floods of tears and became emotional after they stopped to look at a herd of cows in a field during their sunny afternoon walk.
Crying, Madeleine vowed: ‘Oh god. Just no more eating f**king animals, like, f**k!’
Ash tried to lighten the mood as he said: ‘At least we didn’t eat these ones, they are still there.’
‘I’m going to cry, stop, why am I so f**king annoying! Sorry,’ Madeleine said through tears.
She tried to approach the animals, but they didn’t come near her, with Madeleine telling Ash: ‘They just think that we’re going to hurt them. That’s why I’m so sad because we did hurt them.’
‘Seeing the cows is like seeing my dog, and I wouldn’t eat him, so I won’t dare eat these beautiful creatures again,’ Madeleine added to camera.
