Home and Away‘s Bree Cameron shares news of a family tragedy as she returns to Summer Bay next week.

Bree shocks her partner Remi Carter when she reveals that she has been dealing with the sad death of her father – and hasn’t reached out to him for support.

In next week’s episodes on Channel 5, Bree texts Remi to let him know that she has returned to the Bay after spending some time with her family.

Bree reluctantly took time out from the Bay to be with her dad after he’d suffered a nasty accident, which had left him on life support. She was anxious about leaving as she felt that Remi also needed her support following his recent motorbike crash.

Remi replies back to let Bree know that he’s now out of hospital. He’d been discharged a week earlier but held off from telling her as he feared that she’d return home prematurely.

When Bree comes to see Remi, she demands to know why nobody gave her such an important update on his recovery. Remi apologizes, but explains that he felt Bree needed to be with her family rather than worrying about him.

After catching up with Remi, a devastated Bree shares the full truth – her father suffered serious brain damage in his accident and ultimately passed away from his injuries.

As Bree breaks down, she admits that she didn’t tell anyone sooner because she felt obliged to fix everything herself. She now feels like she’s falling apart as the pressure has caught up with her.
