Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Ella’s DNA link to Dales villain – but it’s not Meena
Emmerdale fans believe Ella is related to a resident in the village – but it’s not Meena.
Viewers have been speculating that Ella is hiding something ever since she first turned up in January. It has been theorised that she is somehow working with serial killer Meena (Paige Sandhu), who was sentenced to life in prison in 2022.
Others believe she has even killed someone herself, or could be out for some kind of revenge. Now, fans have put forward the idea that she could be related to Tom King (James Chase).
In recent weeks, viewers have been forced to watch as Tom has been abusing his new bride Belle Dingle (Eden-Taylor Draper). He has already committed some heinous acts, from sabotaging Belle’s job opportunities to smashing the urn holding her mum’s ashes.
His coercively controlling behaviour is only escalating and now fans believe he could have his sibling close by. One wrote online: “I definitely think that there’s some kind of connection between Ella the Doctors receptionist and Tom king.”
A second speculated: “I wonder could she really be Anya, his sister? They’re both targeting a member of the Dingle family in some way or other. It’s definitely a revenge plot.”
Ella has becoming romantically involved with Liam Cavanagh (Johnny McPherson), but it’s clear he’s developing feelings for Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter). Liam and Chas enjoyed a brief fling a few weeks back but their romance was put on hold when Chas discovered that she had breast cancer.
During Wednesday’s instalment (April 3) of the ITV soap, Liam was on his way to tell Chas how he really felt before Ella stopped him. Spotting Chas watching them, Ella pulled Liam in for a kiss.
While fans remain unaware of Ella’s true intentions, they are certain something isn’t right. Sharing their thoughts on X, one penned: “Ella looks like she is obsessed with Liam. Liam looks like he is conflicted about Ella. She doesn’t like Chas. Ella true colours appearing now.
“Ella is most definitely a shady character,” added a second. Another agreed: “Ella is definitely out to cause trouble isn’t she?” Meanwhile a fourth declared: “Im really not liking that Ella …. she’s up to something.”
