Coronation Street‘s Liam Connor makes a brave decision next week as he asks his mum Maria about returning to school.
Liam hopes to make a fresh start after recently reaching out for support over his bullying ordeal with Mason Radcliffe.
Mason faces trial in Monday’s episode (April 8) after being charged for threatening Liam with a zombie knife.
Show bosses are keeping quiet about whether Liam and Dylan Wilson turn up in court to give evidence against Mason as planned. The outcome of the trial is also currently being kept secret.

In follow-on scenes next Friday (April 12), Liam tells Maria that he feels ready to return to school. He has been home-schooled by Maria and his stepdad Gary Windass in recent weeks.
Maria instantly dismisses the idea, making it clear that a return to school isn’t on the cards for the foreseeable future.
Gary thinks that Maria is taking the wrong approach, but Maria harshly claims that her outlook is different to his as he isn’t Liam’s biological father.
Later that day, Gary turns to his ex-partner Sarah Barlow for a heart-to-heart over Maria’s recent behaviour.

Gary tells Sarah that Maria has been overprotective towards Liam since discovering his suicidal thoughts.
As Gary complains that the situation is now affecting his marriage, he’s unaware that Maria is eavesdropping on the conversation via the secret spycam she has hidden in the flat.
Meanwhile, Sarah shares her own troubles after learning that Damon Hay has been sentenced to six years behind bars.
As Sarah breaks down in Gary’s arms, how much will Maria see via the spycam?
