Tonight’s episode (April 8) saw Liam and Dylan go missing as their families prepared for court, after Liam learnt about the threats Mason had made against Dylan and his family.
Devastated to learn that Dylan was planning on fleeing Weatherfield, Liam pleaded with him to give evidence in court as it was the only way he would be free from Mason’s torment.
“I know you’re scared, so am I. The last thing I want to do is go to court, but I have to,” Liam said. “If you don’t give evidence and Mason gets away with it, then this is never going to end.”
Liam was able to convince Dylan to attend court, but as the teenager waited for his family to get ready he was threatened once again by Mason’s friend Conch, who told him that if he told the truth he’d attack Dylan and his entire family as retribution.

At the court, Liam gave his statement before Dylan was questioned by the defence barrister, initially lying to the court out of fear.
However, after further questioning, Dylan eventually broke down and admitted that he did see Mason with the knife.
The court then found Mason guilty of threatening Liam with a knife and confirmed that he would receive a custodial sentence as it was his second offence, leaving Liam, Maria and Gary to breathe a sigh of relief.
Though, despite Mason being found guilty, Maria was still worrying for the future of her son – telling Gary that it would take Liam much longer to recover from the ordeal.
