Coronation Street has confirmed that Toyah Battersby’s tragic new storyline will begin next week.
Toyah confides in Nick Tilsley about her past after an unexpected outburst during a trip to a local park.
Next week, Toyah goes searching for Roy Cropper’s missing dog Freddie but she spots three amateur detectives digging up a rosebed at the park.
The internet sleuths explain that they saw Freddie digging in the same spot, so they believe that Roy must have buried Lauren Bolton’s body there.

Toyah is furious over their lack of respect so she picks up one of the shovels and uses it to smash their car window. The wannabe detectives appear to enjoy the drama as they start filming Toyah.
Nick arrives and witnesses the altercation, so he steps in and convinces Toyah to calm down. With lots on her mind, Toyah bursts into tears.
Toyah later faces the consequences of her actions when the police call at Victoria Court to speak to her.
A distracted Toyah then calls in the flower shop to buy a single yellow rose, but she’s cagey when she’s asked who it’s for.
