Lucy Fallon has been caught sleeping while filming Coronation Street.

The actress, who plays Bethany Platt, returned to the ITV soap opera earlier this year after welcoming her first child with her partner Ryan Ledson. Initially, Bethany moved to London to work for a magazine in 2020 following an ill-fated relationship with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).

But it appears that juggling a young baby with her hectic filming schedule has taken its toll on the Blackpool-born actress who was caught resting her eyes in between filming scenes on the famous cobbles.

Taking to Instagram, Lucy’s co-star Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee Dee Bailey, shared a video of Lucy on her Stories. The actress, 28, was seen sitting in Roy’s Rolls café with her head on the wooden table as Channique and Colson Smith appeared to startle her, causing Lucy to jump up and laugh when she realised she’d been caught.

Captioning the post which she reshared, Lucy said: “It’s been a long week guys,” after Channique said: “Not Fallon matching some beauty sleep in between takes.” It comes after Lucy opened up about “waiting” for Ryan to get down on one knee for her.

Lucy gleefully anticipates being swept off her feet with a surprise proposal. “He hasn’t proposed yet, I’m still waiting,” Lucy said. The actress has been openly eager to marry her beau, 26, since they started dating in 2021. Determined not to pressure Ryan, Lucy has said that she hopes her subtle hints will not go unnoticed. “I have dropped subtle hints but I don’t want him to feel the pressure. I want to be taken aback. And I want to be completely surprised.”
