Amy Walsh has announced she has given birth to her first baby with her partner Toby Alexander-Smith.
The Emmerdale star, 34, shared the news with OK! Magazine, and confirmed that they became parents over Christmas.
She told the publication: ‘Well…it’s been a busy week! Hope you all had a good one. HAPPY NEW YEAR from the three of us.’
Back in November Amy shared that she was ‘looking forward’ to labour and that she felt she was ‘made’ to give birth.
She told OK! at the time: ‘I’m sure everyone who’s been through it reading this will laugh but it’s something I’ve always wanted to experience.
‘I’ve always felt I was made to do it. I’m very aware of how scary it could be so I know it won’t be a bed of roses, but what I’m most looking forward to is going through that journey with Toby.’
They have not yet confirmed the sex of the child, but the pair have discussed names for both boy and girl throughout the pregnancy.
Amy is the sister of Girls Aloud star Kimberly and was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries when she was 20 years old.
She feared she would never be able to conceive, and said she knew ‘it was going to be battle.’
