Soap hunk and Strictly winner ‘lands second series of ITV family farming show as daughter, 7, bags first TV role’

Soap hunk Kelvin Fletcher is reportedly returning for a second series of ITV’s Fletchers’ Family Farm.

The actor, 40, who played Andy Sugden in Emmerdale for 20 years, will soon start filming the next season of the fly-on-the-wall show, according to The Sun.

He and his actress wife Liz, best known as Cold Feet’s Rosemary, bought a 120-acre farm on the edge of the Peak District in 2020, where they live with their four children.

The couple share children Marnie, seven, Milo, four, and 23-month-old twins Maximus and Mateusz.

The report comes as Kelvin revealed he was ‘beaming with pride’ when his daughter Marnie secured her first acting role this week.

The actor, 40, who played Andy Sugden in Emmerdale for 20 years, will soon start filming the next season of the fly-on-the-wall show, according to The Sun.

He and Liz, with their children, moved to the countryside after years of city living. Kelvin admitted only set foot on a farm once he started work on Emmerdale.

And the next season of the family farm show is expected to air as soon as this winter.

A TV insider told the publication: ‘This will be welcome news to the substantial following the show has quickly gained.

‘It began with 676,000 watching, but after seven weeks, the audience was nudging a million.

‘Giving it a second series was a bit of a no- brainer for ITV.

‘There’s something about seeing a family launch a fresh start that appeals to so many people — and there are plenty of laughs and shocking moments too.’

The lifestyle change was first shown in Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure on BBC One in 2022, when the couple only had  Milo and Marnie.

As their story continued this year, they welcomed twins Maximus and Mateusz, making things a little bit trickier.

Whether on the dance floor or the farmyard, Kelvin clearly loves a challenge.
