Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has praised her ‘biggest inspiration’ as she spoke of a sad family loss. The actress spent the weekend supporting her cousin as she put in an epic effort and ran the London Marathon.
Lucy, known for playing Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, was on the sidelines cheering Liv Greg on having created banners to give her a boost through the 26.2-mile journey through the capital with Lucy’s son Sonny Jude, one, also joining the support squad on the day.
Sharing pictures from the big day on Instagram, the 28-year-old declared: “LIV GREG APPRECIATION POST.” She continued: “This weekend, we got to see our @livgregs run her THIRD marathon in memory of Aunty Ann to raise money for @macmillancancer.
“No matter what Liv does, she always does it with such a huge determination, something i have always admired about her and watching her leg it for the second time this weekend, made me feel so proud to call her my cousin.”
She emotionally added: “Liv Greg, you’re my biggest inspiration and i know that wherever she is, Aunty Ann will be so proud of you. and to all the runners this weekend, I hope you’re resting your legs and having a pint. COUSIN SLAY. p.s pls can you stop running for a bit so we can hang out? xx.”
Liv was quick to respond, writing: “I love you so much,” alongside a number of crying emojis, while Macmillan Cancer’s social media team commented: “@lucyfallonx Thank you for sharing this Lucy, and a big well done to Liv!”
