Former Emmerdale star Ben Freeman has reportedly landed a major new Hollywood role, over a decade after bidding farewell to the village.
The actor, 43, previously starred as Scott Windsor on the ITV soap, before landing a series of roles in the West End.
Now, it’s been reported that Ben is set to take the US by storm with a huge role in the popular Starz series Outlander, as Corporal Woodbine.
The first half of the time-travelling series’ seventh season kicked off earlier this month, with a second run of episodes set for release in 2024.
A source told The Sun: ‘It’s a great role and fans will be delighted to see him in the show.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Ben Freeman for comment.
Ben originally starred as heartthrob Scott from 1998 until 2007, and caused a huge stir among soap fans with a slew of steamy storylines.
Among them was a shocking affair with his stepsister Kelly, and fathering a child with Zoe Tate.
After leaving the Dales behind, Ben landed a series of West End parts, including Fiyero in Wicked, Prince in Romeo and Juliet, and Warner in the final cast performances of Legally Blonde: The Musical.
In April 2019, he returned to the soap world with a guest stint in Doctors, before going onto play the villianous Caleb on EastEnders in 2021.
Earlier this year, Emmerdale hinted that Scott could make a return to the village, after his younger sister Cathy opted to leave her family to go and stay with him.
Ben also previously dated his Emmerdale co-star Amy Nuttall, before he cheated on her in 2005.
