Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street has aired the aftermath of Liam Connor Jr’s drugs collapse.
Monday’s (May 6) episode saw Liam continuing to struggle with the aftermath of his bullying ordeal, as he suffered a panic attack.
Joseph encouraged Liam to share what he was going through with his mum and Gary, but Liam insisted that he didn’t want to worry Maria any further.
Instead, the kids came up with a scheme to rummage through the cupboards for sweets, only for Liam to find Paul Foreman’s Benzos medication instead.
Liam swiped the pills Paul uses for his MND and took them back home, where he decided to take some in hopes of holding off another panic attack.
Back at 19a Rosamund Street, Billy discovered that Paul’s pills were missing, leading Joseph to suggest Liam may have taken them when he was looking for sweets.
Maria found Liam unresponsive and shouted for Billy to call an ambulance. As she desperately tried to reach Gary, he silenced her calls because he was sharing a bottle of wine with Sarah Barlow.
Thankfully, the paramedics were able to rush Liam to the hospital and stabilise his condition. A tearful Maria questioned why Liam would have done something so extreme.
“What have I done that’s so wrong? He could have killed himself,” Maria cried out. “What kind of mother lets this happen?”
When Gary finally answered one of Maria’s calls, he lied about where he’d been – claiming he’d been delivering an order rather than spending time with ex-partner Sarah.
