Coronation Street fans say ‘wonderful’ as soap’s youngsters are joined by Emmerdale star on purple carpet

Coronation Street fans were quick to respond as some of the show’s young stars were joined by a familiar face from Emmerdale as they enjoyed a night out together. They were among some of those hitting the purple carpet as Aladdin arrived into Manchester.

The show, from Disney Theatrical Productions, kicked off at the Palace Theatre as part of its first-ever UK and Ireland tour as it continues its record-breaking run on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre

Aladdin is said to invite theatre-goers are invited to experience the timeless story in the ‘thrilling production filled with unforgettable magic, comedy and breathtaking spectacle’, which has already been seen by over 14 million people worldwide.

And among those heading to see the show on Thursday night (May 23) were Corrie’s Jude Riordan, Isabella Flanagan, William Flanagan and Charlie Wrenshall, who fans of the ITV soap will know for playing Sam Blakeman, Hope Stape, Joseph Brown and Liam Connor.

They were also seen posing for snaps with the theatre’s own genie lamp alongside Emmerdale star Amelia Flanagan, known for playing April Windsor in the Dales, who also happens to be the older sister of twins Isabelle and William.

Disney’s Aladdin opened at the Manchester Palace Theatre on Wednesday, May 22, but there’s plenty of time to catch it with performances until Sunday, July 7. The performance lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes including an interval. It’s recommended for children aged six plus.
