One former Emmerdale star had fans begging: “Come back!” to the ITV soap after posing for a shirtless snap.
Anthony Quinlan was best known for playing Pete Barton in the soap from 2013 until his last appearance in 2020, along with taking on the role of Gilly Roach in Hollyoaks from 2005 until 2011. Now he’s posted some incredible holiday snaps which sent fans wild.
In the first photo, Anthony relaxed with a cocktail in one hand overlooking the ocean, wearing a simple button-up shirt and navy blue trousers. He later looked out on the yachts sailing on the perfect blue waves, before showing off his hotel and eventually jumping on a luxe boat for himself. Another snap showed the ex-farming hunk shirtless, showing off his six-pack abs in a pair of blue trunks as he opened his mouth wide to swig at a can of Diet Coke. The actor was all muscle, adding a pair of dark shades to protect his eyes from the sun.
He joked in the caption: “Skip to slide four for the sh** Diet Coke ad.” Fans went wild – but most had only one request. Both Hollyoaks and Emmerdale fans are desperate to see Anthony return to Soapland.
One penned: “Is Gilly making a comeback or what Quinny?” while another penned: “Gilly is coming back!” One Emmerdale lover wrote: “I mean at this point just come back to Emmerdale, weather looks rubbish there!” 
Somebody else quipped: “Looks rough there mate, have a fantastic time buddy.” And another fan branded him “well fit”, gushing over the hunky snaps.
Anthony has since settled down with his Hollyoaks co-star Nikki Sanderson, who’s best known for her role as Maxine Minniver in the Channel 4 soap – though she’s also starred in ITV’s Coronation Street as Candice Stowe.
They reportedly started dating in 2021, with sources telling The Sun: “Nikki and Anthony go to the same gym and are really into fitness, so they bonded over that. Nikki has been having a bit of a tough time lately, and Anthony has been a great support for her.”
Nikki had just split from her ex Greg Whitehurst, while Anthony’s last relationship had been with strictly -come-dancing>Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell.
