Lucy-Jo Hudson has been flooded with support and best wishes after sharing her own ’24-hour reality check’ in which her son fell ill following a fun-filled family trip. The former Coronation Street star took to social media with a candid message about how her weekend went as she celebrated Father’s Day with her partner.
Lucy-Jo explained how she and partner Lewis Devine headed out with their son, Carter, and her daughter Sienna-Rae, who she shares with Corrie actor Alan Halsall, on Saturday night (June 15) ahead of Sienna spending Father’s Day itself with Alan, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap.
But things quickly went wrong when Carter fell ill, with Lucy-Jo sharing the honest aftermath with her fans and followers. Sharing a string of snaps from the weekend on Instagram, including a glam selfie and a sweet shot of herself with her kids, the actress said: “This weekend has been all fun and games… out celebrating Father’s Day, going to the theatre Saturday night and then the last 24 hours have been a reality check… Swipe to see the past 24 hours. Bless carter out of nowhere he just started throwing up at 3am this morning and on and off until 7am god love him and now my whole week has been thrown out of the window. “When things like this happen you can’t ever plan it, or schedule it into your routine and as a working mum with a million jobs to do, and lists to tick off, this has just thrown a spanner in the works and of course my priority is to make sure Carter’s ok and that I’m here for him and to help him get better…. but it just adds to that constant mental load.”
She shared: “This is something parents don’t speak about enough, it can be so unpredictable and even though my week was planned out I now have to change it to fit around my poorly boy. How do you working mums figure out rejigging your week when something like this happens?”
Lucy-Jo ended her post by adding: “We’re in this together mammas,” before the messages from her fans and followers came flooding in. @helenh42 said: “Aw hope he’s ok now.
