Former Home And Away star Sam Frost has crossed over to the dark side.
The actress appeared on Wednesday’s The Morning Show with a dramatically different look to her usual long blonde hair.
These days the 35-year-old mother-of-one is sporting a much darker caramel-brown long bob, or “lob”, middle-parted and falling in soft waves around her face.
Sam became known for her sun-kissed blonde locks when she played Jasmine Delaney on Home And Away between 2017 and 2021.
She is now focused on her road trip series Jordie, Sam & Ted’s Adventures, with her partner Jordie Hansen and their one-year-old son Ted.
Speaking to The Morning Show hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies, Sam reflected on her beginnings in reality TV on The Bachelor Australia in 2014.
“It feels like a lifetime ago and so much of your life can change,” she said.
“I feel like I don’t even recognise (myself from back then).
“When I think of some of the things I have done, I cringe.
“Sometimes I’ll be lying in bed and I’ll think of something dumb I’ve said, publicly, and I just think, ‘Oh, man!’.”
Kylie asked Sam what advice she would give her younger self before she embarked on her TV career.
“Yeah, you know, you don’t have to say everything that you think,” Sam replied.
“Sometimes, you know, have a bit more of a filter, mate.”
Sam famously revealed she was not vaccinated against COVID-19 in an Instagram video that sparked a backlash among some fans and viewers of the popular Seven drama.
Two months later, Frost revealed she was leaving the show.
Now, the TV personality is focused on the future and more on-the-road adventures with her family.
Sam said her first regional road trip with baby Ted in tow was “easier” than the next one will be because he was only six months old at the time.
“He was only a blob — a very cute blob, but a blob,” she said with a laugh.
“I think you mean he was easily contained,” Kylie said.
“Exactly,” Sam replied.
“But now he’s walking, and he’s got his own opinions, and he wants to be independent, so I think next time we go on the road it’s going to be very different.”
Sam revealed the family was about to head across the Nullarbor to Western Australia.
“We’re going to go to Broome next week,” she said.
“We’re very excited.
“We’re just going to caravan around Western Australia, which will be amazing, potentially going into the Northern Territory.
“We’ve got the green light for season two of Jordie, Sam & Ted’s Adventures so we’re just going to go with the flow and see where we go.”
