Coronation Street star Charlotte Jordan has seemingly teased her hopes for a new romance for her ITV soap character Daisy Midgeley on the cobbles. The actress has recently been enjoying a break in the sunshine after ditching the UK for Barcelona.

Earlier this month, Charlotte shared her first update from the trip in a video posted to Instagram, she could be seen posing for the camera as she showed off her outfit. The soap star could be seen sporting a denim strapless top which she paired with some floaty white trousers.

She accessorised with a light denim Coach handbag which hung over her shoulder as well as adding comfy but stylish trainers to her feet and finishing off her look with silver jewellery. “She’s living her best Barcelona life folks,” Charlotte captioned the post to her 207,000 followers.

She continued to share posts in which she could be seen showing off her stylish holiday looks before seemingly returning to the UK. With some time to spare, Charlotte took to Instagram on Thursday (June 20) and implored her fans and followers to chat with her and ask her some questions.

And one fan recalled Charlotte’s previous comments about Rovers co-owner Daisy possibly striking up a romance with Bethany Platt. Back in January, Lucy Fallon, who returned to the cobbles right at the end of 2023 as she reprised her role as the daughter of Sarah Barlow and granddaughter of Platt matriarch Gail Platt, responded as Charlotte took part in a previous online Q&A.

Charlotte, who joined the long-running soap in 2020, was asked: “Daisy + Ryan or Daisy + Daniel???!!” Sharing a video, the actress pulled a thinking face for the camera before panning the camera to show Lucy sitting alongside her in what appeared to be the work kitchen area. “Daisy + Bethany??? @lucyfallonx,” Charlotte also typed alongside the clip which Lucy then reshared and wrote: “Confirmed.

And it’s not been forgotten. Sharing a question from her recent question and answer session on her Instagram Story, it read: “What are your thoughts on Daisy and Bethany cos lufal said she wants to kiss you..”Sharing a picture of the pair posting for the camera in glamourous dresses at an awards bash, Charlotte replied: “I mean she might be getting a sickness bug from her baby atm but once that has fully cleared, there will be NO argument from me.”

It comes after both Lucy and Charlotte shared their hopes for Bethany and Daisy to become friends as they have formed a bond off-screen. When sharing what she’d like for Daisy at the end of last year, Charlotte shared some of her own ‘selfish’ thoughts as an actress. “I’d like her to focus on the Rovers and focus on becoming a successful, mini, secret landlady. I’d also like her to turn the relationship with Bethany on its head.

“They’ve actually got a fair amount in common. I think there’s room for a solid friendship to blossom and then selfishly, I’d get some scenes with more of the Platts. I’d like that. Start throwing Daisy into different social circles on the show. I’ve been asking them to make Daisy and Todd pals for yonks! Me, just desperately trying to get Daisy some friends!”
