Stevie’s film continues to dominate Summer Bay, but Alf is still not thrilled about it. Mali is not best pleased either when Roo tells him that his classes will have to be cancelled that morning, to accommodate the Sunrise film crew. Mali warns that the students won’t be happy, but Roo hopes things will die down a bit once production starts.

Mali loses his cool around Roo later on, warning that the film crews can work around him next time. Realising he’s overworked, and that Kirby is at a loose end, Roo plays recruiter and marches Kirby into the board shop. Could they be the solution to each other’s problems?

Meanwhile, Mackenzie worries about working alongside Felicity now that her affair with Levi has been outed. Her fears are realised when Felicity remains icy. It’s clear this could be a long road for Mackenzie. Levi also tells Mac that his friends are picking sides in his divorce – Imogen’s, not his.

Mac bemoans their isolation. After both of them again clash with Felicity, things look dire for their lives in the Bay. Mackenzie is floored when Levi offers her a way out, questioning whether it’s all worth it. Levi admits that he’d understand if Mac decided to walk away.

Elsewhere, Marshall pleads Tane’s case to Rose, but she’s at her wits’ end with Tane’s attitude. She warns that she can’t help Tane if he keeps messing up. Marshall assures her that it’s the last time, and his persistence pays dividends when she releases Tane, though not without a firm reminder of his bail conditions. When Tane sees Felicity though, he’s less forgiving and demands to know when she’s going to stop meddling in his life. When Marshall brings up the issue with his client, Tane is clear that he just wants his lawyer to keep him out of prison and leave Felicity out of it.
