Adam and Ryan Thomas ‘tipped to be the next Ant and Dec as ITV line them up for new game show’ – following the end of Saturday Night Takeaway

Adam and Ryan Thomas are reported tipped to become the next Ant and Dec after being lined up to host new ITV game show 99 To Beat.

The brothers are said to be in talks to front the family-friendly series which could fill the gap in the schedule left by Saturday Night Takeaway, following Ant and Dec quitting the long-running show after 20-years.

The Mirror described 99 To Beat as a mix of Taskmaster and Squidgame and will feature 100 contestants who’s only aim is not to come last in each silly round.

Ryan, 39, is no stranger to ITV after finding fame as Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street and winning the latest series of Dancing on Ice in January.

Adam, 35, has also worked numerous times with the broadcaster as Adam Barton in Emmerdale, I’m A Celeb and alongside third sibling Scott for their family documentary Absolutely India: Mancs in Mumbai.

Adam (L) and Ryan Thomas (R) are reported tipped to become the next Ant and Dec after being lined up to host new ITV game show 99 To Beat.

A source told the publication: ‘This game show will bring plenty of laughs and needs happy-go-lucky hosts at the helm. Ryan and Adam fit the bill perfectly and it would be great to see the brothers working together as TV hosts for the first time’.

‘The could be a really exciting new chapter for them and should be a lot of fun. They are so natural together. Hey, it worked for Ant and Dec.’

MailOnline have contacted Ryan and Adam’s reps and ITV for comment.

Last year Ant and Dec, both 48, announced they’d quit Saturday Night Takeaway ahead of the 20th series, shocking their fans across the nation.

The pair will continue their exclusive working relationship with ITV, hosting hit shows including I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Britain’s Got Talent and Limitless Win, all of which air across ITV1 and ITVX.

Ant said at the time: ‘We love making Saturday Night Takeaway, but reaching the milestone of 20 series seemed like the perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath.’

Dec added: ‘We still have a momentous 20th series to look forward to first so we will do our best to go out (for now) with a bang in 2024!’

Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, produced by Lifted Entertainment (part of ITV Studios) and Mitre Studios, will return next year for its 20th series.
