In a new interview, Andrei was told to express how it was moving away from his wife’s family. Well, the star joked and said it was like he helped Libby escape a cult.
Well, Andrei was laughing all the time, which implied that he was merely joking. Elizabeth continued to be calm but laughed quite hard at the cult comment. She politely said it wasn’t that hard and told Andrei not to give viewers “any ideas” when he doubled down on his jokes while saying, “Happy to have you back” to Elizabeth. But it did imply the 90 Day Fiance stars still didn’t share a good bond with the rest of the Potthasts.

Most 90 Day Fiance stars must know by now how much hardship Andrei had to go through in the previous season. His lawyer told him that someone was trying to get him deported. That’s when he began to deduce that someone from his wife’s family must have attempted to do so. Well, it still remains a mystery, and no one has found out who attempted such a thing.
However, in the interview, Libby opened up a bit more about her family. She confirmed that it was toxic when everyone from her family would gather. That’s because all they’d do was discuss every single one of her decisions. So, it was best for her to cut off. Elizabeth mentioned that she only talks to her father, Chuck Potthast, sister, Becky, and sometimes her mother.
It was clear that Elizabeth and Andrei may have taken the decision to relocate not just for their family’s betterment but to avoid future feuds and drama with the Potthasts. While they never said it out loud, but their statements made it clear.
