CBB’s Colson Smith reveals prank he played on housemates and Louis Walsh’s expletive reaction

While TV fans were left on the edge of their seats as they followed the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother, days dragged by for Colson Smith and he found a hilarious way to kill time.

Speaking to Coronation Street co-stars Ben Price and Jack P. Shepherd on their shared podcast On The Sofa, the actor revealed that, “because of the boredom”, he’d decided to prank his CBB housemates with the help of a well-placed wall and his best Big Brother imitation.

The 25-year-old soap star admitted that he would often call his housemates to the famous Diary Room using a booming voice and, unfortunately for him, Louis Walsh had also been one of his targets. “Because of the boredom”, Colson said, “I used to turn my head around, face the wall and I used to call people to the Diary Room.”

Colson Smith earned third place in the Celebrity Big Brother reboot but prior to the final, he found an interesting way to keep himself busy by pranking his housemates

Colson described instances during which his prank had been successful and claimed: “They’d get as far as being sat in the Diary Room chair and Big Brother would be like ‘we’ve not called you, Colson has.'”

But when he decided that it was Louis’ turn to unnecessarily head to the Diary Room, the prankster was thrown by the Irish star’s fiery reaction. “I did it once to Louis and he was like ‘******* hell, again?'”, Colson remembered, “‘I’ve already been three times’, and he got up and started walking.”

Thankfully for the former X Factor judge, Colson decided his pranks had to end and he confessed that he had tried to trick him all along before urging him to sit back down.

Colson is best known for his portrayal of beloved copper, PC Craig Tinker, in ITV’s long-running soap Coronation Street and, after last in the Celebrity Big Brother house for several weeks. He was also one of the show’s five finalists and earned third place in the reboot of the reality program.

But despite his popularity in the show, Colson was left devastated when he encountered some tension with housemate Levi Roots, who branded him “boring” during a task. Sadly, the 65-year-old businessman reopened old wounds for the actor, which left him breaking down in tears.
