ITV has made a change in its soap schedule to allow fans not to miss on
Emmerdale and Coronation Street while the Paris Olympics are on.
Just like with Euro 2024 not too long ago, ITV has announced it’ll make
both soaps available to stream on ITVX from early in the morning.
Taking to Twitter/X, the official Coronation Street account shared that episodes of both Corrie and Emmerdale will make their streaming debut on the platform from 7am every day during the Games.

“We’re giving you a little treat this summer whilst the Olympics are on,” the post reads.
“On each day of transmission, you can find Corrie and Emmerdale episodes on ITVX at 7am!
“But remember to keep this a spoiler free zone for those watching in the evenings.”
Some fans think having the episodes on a streaming platform in the morning should become standard practice, as it already is the case for EastEnders and Hollyoaks, with one person noting: “This should be a permanent thing, the other soaps are releasing their episodes early every week.”

Meanwhile, fans of EastEnders better keep peeled for a possible topical scene linking to the Olympics.
The BBC soap has often borrowed from current affairs for last-minute inserts, including one recent scene seeing Ian Beale and Harvey Monroe disagreeing about whether to go and vote in the general election in early July.
The show also shot a segment to celebrate England going to the Euro final against Spain, with characters gathering in the square after the semi-final.
