Coronation Street doesn’t hold back next week where the emotions are concerned, as confirmed in my brand new spoiler videos, with unexpectedly sad news on the cards, plus a life-threatening situation.
Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), as viewers know, has cut Toyah (Georgia Taylor) off, despite her sister having been recently diagnosed with cancer.
The restaurateur is under the spell of cult leader Rowan Cunliffe (Emrhys Cooper), who instructed her to do such a thing, but Leanne is left with second thoughts next week – as seen below – when she receives an update about her sibling’s condition.
Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), meanwhile, makes a heartfelt plea to Kit (Jacob Roberts), asking him to forgive Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) once and for all.
Things, however, take an upsetting turn.
I’ve also got a first look at the moment that Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) realises that Joel Deering (Calum Lill) isn’t the man she thought when his lies are exposed.
If you simply cannot wait for your next visit to the cobbles then fear not as I’m here with three new clips, previewing next week, so let’s have a look, shall we?
Monday, August 12
Aadi arrives at the bistro to see Amy speaking to her financial advisor as she contemplates investing in the Institute.
Leanne watches on, hopeful, but she subsequently receives a phone call from Nick, who has accompanied Toyah to the hospital for her operation.
Nick reveals that Toyah has suffered complications, with Leanne growing tearful as she promises to race to the hospital to be by her sister’s side.
Wednesday, August 14
Paul asks Kit to let bygones be bygones where Bernie is concerned, revealing that he regrets all the years he spent resenting her, encouraging his new brother to forgive and forget.
Kit makes it quite clear that he’d struggle to do that but his attention is soon elsewhere as Paul struggles for breath.
Friday, August 16
Dee-Dee meets with Emily at the bistro, asking if Maeve could be a flower girl at her and Joel’s wedding. The solicitor reveals a gift she’s got for Maeve – it’s a charm for the little girl’s charm bracelet.
Emily, however, reveals that Maeve doesn’t have a charm bracelet, which means that Joel has been lying to Dee-Dee. Will Dee-Dee work out the truth?
