Coronation Street spoilers have shown Roy Cropper isn’t the only character in trouble as the mystery surrounding Lauren Bolton’s disappearance rumbles on.
Roy is set to be charged with murder this week and is DS Swain’s number one suspect since he misguidedly deep cleaned Lauren’s flat after she vanished. Spoilers for Monday’s episode have revealed Roy is set for a stint behind bars when his bail is refused by the judge.
Bobby Crawford was a key character in sparking the suspicions Roy could be involved in Lauren’s disappearance. However, the character is set to have a change of thought after he discusses Roy’s predicament with Bernie Winter.
Spoilers have shown Bobby may unknowingly implicate Daniel Osbourne for the crime instead. Under pressure, he tells DS Swain he saw the intruder wearing a fur trimmed coat.
When news that Bobby has changed his statement gets out, Cassandra Plummer remembers she saw a coat matching his description in the charity shop. The coat will have gone from the charity shop, but some of the items it was brought in with remain and a jumper features a name tag that implicates Daniel.
The character, played by Rob Mallard, will go out of his way to prove his innocence. Lauren started working on an adult platform and this will prompt Daniel to get back in touch with former sex worker, Nicky Wheatley.
However, this meeting will cause him more problems as the meeting is caught on camera by Max Turner. Nicky is played in the show by Kimberly Hart-Simpson, who confirmed her return to the Cobbles on Instagram this weekend.
