Coronation Street viewers can expect huge drama in the fallout to Lauren Bolton’s big return.
Viewers learned the teenager was alive and in hiding following Joel Deering attacking her and leaving her for dead in February. They also learned she was five months pregnant, and last week we saw her flee from Joel once more.
Now, new spoilers reveal Lauren heads back to the cobbles, and her return divides residents. Roy Cropper is thrilled to see she’s alive, but he could be about to make a departure after some tough months for him.
Meanwhile, Joel faces a race against time to get to Lauren before Dee-Dee Bailey and Bethany Platt can find her, with his secrets at risk. Another man under pressure is Rowan Cunliffe, as the villain may finally be exposed by Toyah Battersby…

Rowan finally exposed
In spoilers for next week, Rowan continues to target victim Leanne, Toyah’s sister, as his intentions become clear. As Leanne continues to try and convince Amy to join the institute, Rowan suggests that Leanne might like to invest £40k in the business, leaving Leanne seriously tempted by the offer.
Meanwhile, Rowan puts pressure on Leanne’s partner Nick to invest in the new resource centre, threatening to blow the secret of his affair with Toyah. Will he agree to the new business opportunity?
Toyah is determined to find dirt on Rowan and after looking through Rowan’s jacket pockets, she finds his driving licence and reverse images the picture of him. What will she find and is this the end of Rowan?

In upcoming scenes next week, Roy is delighted to learn that Lauren is alive but his protective niece Nina is furious that she left it this long to return and clear his name. Later in the week, Nina collects Roy from the hospital where he tries to cover his nervousness at the thought of leaving, following his heart attack.
Back at the café flat, Nina fusses over Roy as she’s glad to have him home. Realising it’s been a tough few weeks for Roy, Nina suggests that Roy take a break from the cobbles and spend a few days at Cathy’s in Scarborough.
It remains to be seen whether Roy leaves the cobbles but later in the week Lauren heads to the café to apologise to Roy before heading to the Rovers, where Bobby offers her his bed for the night. Will Roy take a well-deserved break to Scarborough?
Lauren return fallout
Next week, Bethany realises that in a sighting of Lauren, she is wearing the same coat worn by the girl in the CCTV from the pizza joint in Leicester recently, and that she was clearly the person fraudulently using her old company credit card. Joel is left panicked over the Lauren update as he rushes and books his wedding to Dee-Dee, revealing their date as September 27.
Joel then goes through credit card statements with Bethany to find clues of Lauren’s whereabouts. Yet there’s more trouble ahead as Betsy continues to blackmail him and demands more money.
While Joel is out secretly dealing with Betsy, Dee-Dee and Bethany continue to go through the statements, where they find ticket transactions in Warrington and decide to check soup kitchens where a homeless woman confirms that Lauren is squatting in a local pub. Dee-Dee calls Joel to let him know before setting off with Bethany. Will Joel make it to Lauren before Bethany and Dee-Dee or will he be exposed?
