There’s another week of shock news and unexpected discoveries in Coronation Street next week. It starts as Bernie Winter waits for her long-lost son Kit Green in the Rovers to discuss how they tell Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman they have a brother, unaware he is already over at the flat breaking the news.

Later, a depressed Bernie confides in Dev Alahan about the difficulties she is having with Paul and Gemma and trying to get her family together. On the street, Beth Sutherland flirts with Kit and is stunned when he reveals that he’s Gemma’s brother and Bernie’s his mum. Meanwhile, Gemma explains that she and Paul are buying a wreath for Kit’s real mum, and Dev advises her to send her own floral tribute.

And speaking of Kit, he’ll also be seen warning Sarah Barlow that DS Swain has been doing some digging and she’s caught onto the fact that Nathan Curtis received some hush money to drop the case. DS Swain drags her in for questioning and asks her directly if she knew who attacked Nathan and if she bought his silence with £10k.

Meanwhile, the identity of DS Swain’s daughter, Betsy, is confirmed as she starts her work experience at the factory and Fiz Dobbs and Carla Connor are impressed with her machining skills. But soon, Carla catches Betsy texting and confiscates her phone.

There are also worrying times ahead for Toyah Habeeb in the ITV soap. She’s horrified when she finds her sister Leanne Battersby showing Amy Barlow an Institute video to help relieve her stress and realises she is considering investing.

Later, after she complains to Nick Tilsley that she has terrible stomach pains, he is shocked when he returns home from work to find Toyah in agony on the floor.

He takes her to the hospital and, as he and Leanne wait at her bedside the doctor has some shocking news. Later, while still in shock after the doctor’s news, Toyah is left reeling when he drops another unexpected bombshell.
