Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon revealed she suffered an ankle injury right before going to a photoshoot.
The soap actress, 41, took to her Instagram Stories to share a snap of her injured ankle as she soothed the pain with an ice pack. She also thanked her co-stars and colleagues for their help. Samia wrote: “Fell over and sprained my ankle just before a photoshoot… [grimacing emoji] Smiled (grimaced) my way through today…
“Sorry! Pinched your eye mask to hold the ice pack on @msjodieprenger. Thanks for looking after me @rachel_thebeautyspot @gillywalshy @daniellebaguley.” She later shared a snap of her elevating her ankle on a chair in a garden with her foot wrapped in bandages. “Resting,” she told fans.
It comes after Samia opened up about a “supernatural experience” she experienced on the night her grandmother passed away. The actress, best known for her role as Maria Connor on Coronation Street since 2000, previously discussed the strange experience in an interview.
She said it was “the strangest thing” but added that it was “comforting”. The actor previously shared that some ornaments “suddenly started moving” on the evening that her grandmother died. She said that her mother, Patsy, felt that the incident some years ago was Samia’s grandmother “saying goodbye”.
Cooking with the Stars winner Samia discussed the moment with My Weekly magazine and recalled having been at home with her parents on the night that her grandmother, whom she called “Nanna” and “Nan,” died. She said: “We had some heavy china ornaments on the mantlepiece and they suddenly started moving.” Samia said the ornaments, bought by her mother whilst in the company of her grandmother, hadn’t done that “before or since”.
