Fans of Coronation Street can anticipate a lot of drama this week as
Maria Connor is devastated and Toyah Habeeb makes an unexpected discovery.
What viewers of Coronation Street may anticipate from the Weatherfield inhabitants this week has been revealed by spoilers.
Channique Sterling-Brown’s character Dee-Dee Bailey and Molly Gallagher’s character Nina Lucas are taken aback when the nurse verifies that Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) guest was a young girl with blonde hair.
Dee-Dee informs Joel Deering (Calum Lill) and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) that the police are reviewing the CCTV to see whether Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) was the victim.
While Roy is happy that Lauren seems to be alive, Nina is upset that she took so long to come back and clear his name before disappearing once more.
When Bethany tells Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) about the sighting of Lauren, she makes it obvious that Lauren was the one using her credit card because the coat she was wearing matched the one they saw on the girl in the Leicester pizza joint’s CCTV footage.
Before leaving with Bethany to comb over credit card bills in an attempt to find information regarding Lauren’s whereabouts, Joel tells a delighted Dee-Dee that their wedding has been scheduled for September 27.
He tells Dee-Dee he’s heading to work when he receives a text from Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) requesting more money. As she looks through the statements further, she discovers ticket transactions in Warrington and makes the decision to investigate soup kitchens. It is there that a homeless lady verifies Lauren’s squatting in a nearby bar.
Before heading out with Bethany, Dee-Dee gives Joel a call to let him know. Will Joel arrive at Lauren before Dee-Dee and Bethany?
Furthermore, Betsy persists in exploiting Carla Connor (Alison King) by not putting in any work and insisting on an early lunch. Carla leaves the workplace and goes to the police station to speak with Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers). However, Lisa has to cut her off when she tells Carla that Betsy has called and is stuck in a dangerous area of the city.
Betsy threatens to report Beth Sutherland (Lisa George) to Carla if she doesn’t want to participate in the activity. Reluctantly, Beth teaches Betsy how to sew the fake labels onto the phony t-shirts when she is by herself in the factory.
In the interim, Georgia Taylor’s character Toyah Habeeb is idly browsing the internet for information about Rowan Cunliffe (Emrhys Cooper). In the meanwhile, Rowan threatens to reveal the details of his affair with Toyah in order to get Nick Tilsey (Ben Price) to invest in the new resource center.
Upon searching Rowan’s jacket pockets, Toyah discovers his driver’s license and flips the image of him. What will she discover?
In other news, Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) and Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) are shocked to learn that Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) has been freed, according to Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon).
