Coronation Street’s Daniel Brocklebank shares ‘FYI’ after response to outing with musician beau

Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank added a ‘for your information’ message to his latest social media post as he was seen enjoying himself in the sunshine with his musician beau.

The actor, known for playing Billy Mayhew in the ITV soap, and his partner Jordan Coulthard made the most of their weekend off together as they headed to the South Manchester Food and Drink Festival.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday (May 19), Daniel shared a snap in which Jordan could be seen at the forefront as he captured the selfie moment while the soap star was laying on the grass having enjoyed himself at the local event.

Captioning the post to his 154,000 followers, Daniel wrote: “South Manchester food & drink festival. More drink than food…” He then added: “FYI this was Saturday. I’ll be bright & breezy for work tomorrow,” referring to heading back to the cobbles for filming on Monday (May 20).

His fans and followers saw the funny side as they were quick to respond to the post. @sandrahicks839 said: “Does it matter if you had more drink than food lol as long as you both have a really great time.”

@bella_bichonfrise_rescue_dog wrote: “Mixed with the heat too. You’ll sleep tonight @danielbrocklebank hehe.” @clarey_101 added: “Was lovely to meet you there! What a great day it was…we overdid it at the Jamaican rum bar.”

Meanwhile, Daniel also caused a few comments on X, formerly known as Twitter, as he gave an overview of how he’d spent his post-festival day. “I have spent the entire day in the garden surrounded by my ever-growing fruits, vegetables & dogs learning lines for an exceptionally busy week @itvcorrie,” he said before adding: “I couldn’t be happier.”

And while it was described as the “perfect day” by many of the soap star’s followers, one joked: “Dogs learning lines. Wow,” to which Daniel jokingly replied, speaking of his three beloved Daschunds: “They read the other characters back to me. Highly intelligent sausages.”
