Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has told fans “as if” after ditching the UK earlier this month.
The David Platt actor, 36, has been a huge part of the soap’s cast since 2000, having joined when he was just 12 years old. Over the years, Jack has been at the centre of some of the programme’s most dramatic storylines.
His character has, thankfully, evolved from the troubled teenager who often made his family’s life a misery, and even pushed mum Gail down the stairs. Away from the cameras, Jack provides regular updates with his 395,000 Instagram followers. Earlier this month he shared a series of snaps after swapping the UK for Tanzania as he and partner Hanni Treweek went on safari. Now the two are in an unknown idyllic location, with Jack posting plenty of beach photos. And he has now uploaded a video of literal golden sand. As he walked along the beach, he told fans: “It’s shiny, it’s gold. See the little flecks of gold?” Jack then simply captioned the post: “As bloody if!” Many of Jack’s followers have quickly commented, as Kelly said: “Omg this looks divine”, while Pamela said: “You have gone from Coronation Street to Gold Street x”. Lisa said: “Ooooh where’s this?” [sic].
