Coronation Street star Jodie Prenger has celebrated a big milestone on the soap,
with the star declaring her “love” for the show.
The actor, who plays Glenda Shuttleworth on the ITV soap, took to Instagram to share
that she had reached a landmark in her Corrie career, with today (August 6) marking her two-year anniversary.
“Two years today on screen… well I never @coronationstreet. Love you just as much,” she wrote in the caption, with the post also including a photo of the star as she posed outside The Tony Warren Building, a block which is dedicated to the former Corrie writer.

Several stars and fans commented on the post, with Georgia Taylor – who plays Toyah Battersby on the soap – writing: “Was there ever a more natural fit for the show? You’re wonderful darling.”
One fan agreed with the sentiment of Taylor as they wrote: “@realgeorgiataylor Totally agree, like she’s always been there – especially behind the bar at The Rovers. Reminds me of Bet Lynch so much.”

Anthony Crank, who played Dean Turnbull on the soap, also commented as he wrote: “And the very, very best casting ever”, whilst Catherine Tyldesley – who played Eva Price until 2018 – wrote: “ICON”.

“You’re just so good, it’s like you’ve been there for years,” wrote another fan, with a third adding: “We’re so blessed to have you on our screens!”
In recent months, Glenda has been through some turmoil as she sadly split from boyfriend Michael, and has been through a bitter feud with her brother George over inheriting half of her father’s funeral parlour business, though they recently seemed to end their dispute.
