Coronation Street’s Lauren Bolton ‘exposed’ as fans ‘work out’ real father of baby

Coronation Street viewers saw Lauren Bolton make her return to Weatherfield this month after many feared for the teen’s whereabouts.

Earlier this year, Coronation Street fans were horrified when teen Lauren

Bolton (played by Cait Fitton) vanished from the cobbles.

Many believed she had been killed after the police found blood and evidence of a struggle in her flat, unaware that Joel Deering (Calum Lill) had brutally attacked her.

However, she was recently tracked down by Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) and Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon). Although when they found her they were in for a shock when they realised she was pregnant.

As ITV viewers learned that the father was Joel, who is trying to keep her from telling the truth to his fiance Dee-Dee, some fans don’t believe she’s telling the truth. One person said: “And Lauren’s bound to give birth at Christmas. It’ll be Max’s baby, not Joel’s.”

Someone else added: “Plot twist: Max is the father of Lauren’s baby and it isn’t Joel’s at all” Another viewer commented: “Lauren is a female Max. It’d be hilarious if this kid isn’t Joel’s.”

“I’m not sure if I’m convinced that Joel is Lauren‘s baby daddy. Who else has she been with,” said one fan. (sic)

However, some fans believe Max will step up and take on the baby as his own.

One viewer wrote: “I can see a similar David/Kylie situation developing with Max taking on Lauren and being a stepdad to the baby in the future.”

In recent scenes, viewers have seen Lauren spend time with ex-boyfriend Max Turner (Paddy Bever), although she refuses to speak about the attack, falsely blaming Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper).

Storming out of his home, she later demanded Joel try and get her out of the country for a fresh start. Although he continues to claim he hasn’t got enough money and suggests staying close is for the best for the time being.

Agreeing with his suggestion, Lauren is unaware that Joel has a more sinister plan in motion as he is seen researching what drugs could induce premature labour.

It seems as though things are set to get worse for the teen as spoilers for the ITV soap reveal that Lauren gets mugged at the precinct.

While Max is there to support her, Joel continues his twisted plan to get rid of her once and for all.

Later on, Lauren ends up doubling over in immense pain, holding onto her stomach.

When Max comes to her flat to check on her, Lauren calls out that something is wrong after she collapses on the floor.

Terrified that she’s losing the baby, has Joel got his way?
