Coronation Street legend Sally Lindsay is a proud mum to her twin sons Victor and Louie – but the TV star usually keeps her boys out of the public eye.
So Sally’s fans were treated to a rare sight recently when she posed for a photo with the twins during a night out in London’s West End.
The actress, who is best known for starring in Corrie as Shelley Unwin, attended an anniversary celebration on the Mrs Doubtfire musical at The Shaftesbury Theatre last week and brought two very special guests with her.
Sally rarely poses for photos with her children, so it might have come as a surprise to some to see how much bigger 13-year-old Louie and Victor are now as they stood either side of their famous mum, towering a full head over her.
Both boys looked smart for their night out at the theatre and Sally, who lives in South London with husband Steve White and the twins, couldn’t have looked more thrilled to be with them.
She has given occasional glimpses into their lives on social media – in September, she and the twins enjoyed a day out paddleboarding at St Andrews Lakes in Kent, and back in 2021 she supported an Alzheimer’s Society campaign by sharing a photo of them dressed as elves at Christmas time.

While Sally, 50, loves being a mum, she previously admitted to Hello!: “To be honest, I never thought I’d have kids. Because of the career I’d chosen, I never thought it would be possible. And then I met Steve. I wanted to get married and have children with him. It was the man I met who changed everything for me, not the fantasy.”
She also told Yahoo podcast White Wine Question Time how she had discovered she was pregnant while in the early stages of work for Scott and Bailey and Mount Pleasant, ultimately having to drop out of Scott and Bailey which featured her Corrie co-star Suranne Jones.
“I said to (Suranne) at the time, ‘You’ve got to make it, you can’t not make it’ and she was like, ‘I don’t want to, without you.’ And then Lesley (Sharp) came along and she was phenomenal,” said Sally. “She put a completely different tone on it than I would. And it works obviously brilliantly.”
While Sally, who is also step-mum to Steve’s adult children Kristabel and Curtis, had some tough decisions to make when the boys were babies, she also spoke to Brood magazine last year about the ongoing juggle of work and parenting.
She said: “I don’t want to miss out on them growing up, I mean they’ll be adults before I know it!”
The Madame Blanc Mysteries star added: “We have had so many wonderful times together as a family. I think that’s the thing especially in our types of careers, yes, you do work a lot at times, but you also get chunks of time off. I found that the key really is to use those times wisely, so in a way it’s quality, not so much about quantity.”
“I know everything about my children and I feel very close to them even now as they approach the teenage years, and yes, of course they missed me whilst I was away, but they are very independent because of it as well and I think that’s a good thing.”
