Coronation Street’s Vicky Myers has starred in the long-running soap since 2021, but until recently her appearances have often been few and far between.
The actress plays DS Lisa Swain, a role that is often only needed what a big crime has been committed on the Street. Thanks to Roy Cropper’s wrongful imprisonment, however, Vicky has been popping up regularly over the past few months, and now has a permanent role in Corrie.
Back in March she told her many social media followers: “DS Swain is here to stay. Needless to say I’m delighted! Thank you for the congratulatory messages and for your support. It’s greatly appreciated.”
As well as becoming a favourite with viewers, it seems she is close to some of her soap co-stars away from the ITV set.
On Friday, May 10, fellow Corrie star Sally Carman, who plays Abi Webster, shared an update as she celebrates her 43rd birthday. Along with a series of snaps of herself enjoying her special day, Sally said: “Spoilt rotten [yellow heart emoji] #birthdaylove #bestfriends #lovelyhusband”.
Fans have rushed to wish Sally well, with many saying she looks fantastic for 43. DS Swain actress Vicky was clearly feeling the love too as she said: “Happy Birthday. We love you so much”.
