DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) has her work cut out more than most as Coronation
Street’s local detective sergeant, but in upcoming scenes she is set to lighten the load
by nailing the culprit of a serious crime.
Poor Abi Webster (Sally Carman) has had a tough time of it recently, since she discovered that murderer Corey Brent was due to be the subject of a documentary.
When she spoke out against it, she was targeted by his dad, Stefan Brent Paul Opacic), who published countless deepfake porn videos of her.
It took her a while to work out that he was behind it, but once Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) found evidence on his phone, Stefan agreed to put a stop to it, provided she didn’t hand his phone over to police.
While Abi is keen to put the whole situation behind her, Stefan wants to speak to Kevin to put an end to their feud. However, when he arrives at the house, Kevin is out, and having no idea who this man is, Jack Webster (Kyran Bowes) agrees that Stefan can wait in the house until his parents come home.
Later, Abi finds Kevin watching a news report detailing a fire at Stefan’s office building. When Abi insists that he’s got what he deserves, will Kevin grow suspicious that she may be responsible?
Of course, the responsibility of finding the culprit of the fire falls on Lisa, who is quick to haul both Abi and Kevin in for questioning.
During Abi’s interrogation, Lisa produces evidence from his doorbell that she visited his home.
With Lisa breathing down her neck, Abi is left even more distressed when she realises that Kevin also suspects that she was responsible – but is she?
Later in the week, Lisa interviews the real culprit, before charging them for the arson attack – but who is in the hot seat?
