Monday’s (August 26) episode used flashbacks to show what really happened to Rose after she was kicked out of Home Farm a few weeks ago.
Will Taylor and Kim Tate forced Rose to leave when they discovered she’d been plotting against them with Ruby Fox-Miligan. However, a seemingly sinister twist showed a Home Farm SUV later approaching Rose by the side of the road.
The most recent twist involved Will’s daughter Dawn lying to him about baby Evan needing a bone marrow transplant so she could find out what happened to Rose.

In the latest instalment, Dawn directly confronted her father for “weeks of lying” while she was having “the hardest time of [her] life” with Evan’s hospitalisation.
Dawn then revealed that she’d been the one driving the Home Farm SUV that pulled up alongside Rose while she was on her way to the hospital.
Flashbacks showed Rose confessing to Dawn that she’d been hired by Ruby as revenge against Kim, though she did truly grow to love her daughter and grandchildren.
In the present timeline, Will asked if Dawn knew what became of Rose — so she tossed the sack of cash back to Will that he’d used to bribe Rose into leaving.

The next flashback saw Rose explaining to Dawn that Kim and Will had thrown her in the boot of their car and drove her out to the edge of the village. She explained that Will had left her with a sack of cash to ensure she never came back.
“He paid you to leave,” an incredulous Dawn realised.
Rose then warned Dawn that “things were going to go bad” if she continued to live in Home Farm with Kim and Will.
“Please, take [this money] and go,” Rose begged. “I’m proud of you and I’m so sorry.”
In the present day, Dawn explained she’d taken Rose to the airport so she could leave town. Dawn reminded Will he’d spent weeks thinking Kim may have killed Rose and did nothing about it.
“You’re an embarrassment to me, and to yourself,” Dawn told her dad.
In the end, Dawn and Billy moved out of Home Farm. Before she left, Dawn admitted she’d told a lie of her own — there was no transplant needed for baby Evan.
“If you need anything, you know where we are. So make sure you stay away,” Dawn demanded.
