Emmerdale viewers are convinced that Tom King reign of terror will come to a bloody end after he brutally punched his wife on the ITV soap.

Over the past few months, the long-running show has been tackling the sensitive topic of domestic violence through the blonde bombshell’s marriage to Carl King’s son. The junior vet, played by James Chase, has tried to exert control over his wife by gaslighting her and keeping an eye on her every new.

More recently, Tom has tried to pressure Belle (played by Eden Taylor-Draper) into have a baby despite her wanting to climb a few notches on the ladder first. Earlier this week, the coercive husband tried to drive a wedge between Belle and her long-time pal Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley).

But things escalated to a whole new level last week when Tom lashed out at her when she found out he had been spying on her at work. It was at this point that her other half heartlessly punched her in the stomach, leaving her with a nasty bruise.

However, this isn’t the first time he has hit Belle after he slapped her when she rejected his proposal last year. After watching the dramatic scenes unfold, viewers flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their suspicions that more sinister times are ahead.

Convinced that Mandy would kill Tom for his crimes, one user penned: “Watch out Tom! Mandy will physically kill you when she finds out the truth.” Another agreed: “Mandy HAS to break at least one of Tom’s ribs when she finds out. Don’t disappoint me.”

A third echoed: “Mandy will rip Tom apart when this all comes out!” Taking to Reddit, another user added: “I’d love to see Mandy [kill him] than Cain especially after what he did to Vinny as well as Belle and Vinny’s already been through.”
