The Emmerdale favourite quit his role on the ITV soap back in 2014.
And 10 years on that Luke Roskell looks worlds away from his troubled teenager character, Sean Spencer. It’s fair to say the beloved actor, 27, has had quite the glow up as he turned on the charm for a hunky selfie online.
He joined the long-running show back in 2011 as the son of Ali and Dan Spencer, with ITV bosses describing his character as a “tearaway” who is “potentially trouble.” The TV star played the role of Amelia’s older brother Sean for three years, appearing in more than 260 episodes.
He performed in his fair share of dramatic storylines, including his memorable love triangle with Belle Dingle and Gemma Andrews, which immediately turned messy and ultimately deadly.

After Gemma became pregnant with his child, Belle inadvertently killed her and was sentenced to prison for several years. Luke eventually left the soap back in 2014, with Sean being written out of the show when his character decided to join the army.
He made his last appearance on the show in December 2014, before sharing a touching message to his co-stars on the show. Speaking about his decision to leave the show, Luke said: “I have had an amazing three years on Emmerdale and I will miss everybody loads.
“I wanted to explore other opportunities and I am excited to find out what the future holds.” A decade on from his ITV exit, the former soap star looks completely different to his teenage years.

The actor has undergone a hunky transformation and switched out his buzzcut for a longer cut. Luke regularly shares snippets of his life on social media, sharing a love of travelling and hanging out with his pals at the pub.
He’s also become quite the sportsman, playing football as well as getting in the boxing ring to work out his muscles. While he can be seen enjoying music festivals like Glastonbury last year, he is still firm friends with his former co-stars Max Beesley and Laura Norton.
After he left the soap, Luke swapped the cameras for the stage when he took on the lead role of Carl Jackson in Britannia Waves the Rules. Since then, he has developed a successful TV career, playing Dan for several episodes of the BBC series The A Word.
Luke then turned his hand to period dramas, landing a main role playing Pepper Sharrow in Jamestown from 2017 to 2019, focusing on the early English settlers in America. Meanwhile, he was also cast in the recurring role of Lee Withers in the fifth series of the beloved time travel series Outlander, opposite Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan.
Most recently, he took on darker toles such as PC Greg Clitheroe in last year’s The Long Shadow, which follows the hunt for serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, otherwise known as the Yorkshire Ripper. Earlier this year, Luke appeared as Paul in the Paramount+ original crime drama Sexy Beast, a prequel to the acclaimed 2000 film starring Ray Winstone, Ben Kingsley and Ian McShane.
