After the year she’s had, Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) is overcome with emotion when Jimmy (Nick Miles) springs a surprise on her in Emmerdale soon.
Nicola and Jimmy are still adjusting to life without their daughter Angelica (Rebecca Bakes), who is in a secure children’s home after being responsible for Heath Hope’s (Sebastian Dowling) death in January.
A positive distraction is exactly what Nicola and Jimmy need right now and next week, it’s time for the village fete.
In this new video, Jimmy leads Nicola outside after alluding to his partner that he’s got something to show her.

As she opens her eyes, Nicola is amazed to see villagers setting up their market stalls down Main Street, with colourful bunting decorating the entire road.
Jimmy then hands Nicola a megaphone so everybody knows she is in charge, of course.
As this heart-warming clip continues, little Isaac (Bobby Dunsmuir) makes his way through the street with Minty the lamb tied to a lead. Moira (Natalie J Robb) doesn’t seem too happy with Isaac treating Minty like a pet, but the family will face a massive drama during their afternoon when they learn the lamb has gone missing.
These scenes will air during Emmerdale’s 10,000th episode.
To celebrate this, the show has thanked the local community for its endless support by helping with the maintenance of 10000 trees.
Head of Production Nader Mabadi explains how they are swapping the Woolpack for the Woodland:
‘Our Studios and Village are a large part of the community, helping us beam the beautiful Yorkshire Dales to countries across the world, and all of us on the team are grateful to the Leeds and the wider Yorkshire communities for their continued support over the last 52 years of filming Emmerdale in the region.
‘With this in mind we thought a great way to celebrate our 10 000 milestone would be to pay that support forward, by making a sustainable contribution to the local environment in helping with the woodland project near to our village.’
