Emmerdale fans reckon a return is on the cards for an iconic villain – and it’s bad news for Kim Tate.

Soap fans will recall Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco) made her debut earlier this year, as the estranged ex-wife of Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and mother of Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).

It was then revealed that Rose had walked out on them both when Dawn was a baby. And in a shock twist, it was confirmed that Rose had a connection with fellow villager Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly).

As fans will recall, Ruby is set on destroying Kim Tate (Claire King) – and with Rose currently living at Kim’s house, Ruby has blackmailed Rose to take down soap legend Kim.

Rose owes Ruby a lot of cash, after the latter bailed her out of significant debts – something Ruby keeps reminding her of. And during Wednesday’s episode (July 17) Ruby kept putting pressure on Rose to carry out their plan.

Later on, Rose received a cryptic message – and she went and met a dealer who handed over a vial of tranquilliser. He then told her to await further instruction.

after bonding with daughter Dawn. However, at the end of the episode, she dropped Ruby a message letting her know their plan was indeed on.

Now, fans are convinced that someone else is in cahoots with Ruby and Rose. On social media, fans have shared their theories that Kim’s son Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) could be involved in their dreadful plan.

“I wonder if Rose is working with Jamie Tate” mused one person on X, formerly known as Twitter. Another person mused: “Not entirely sure what Rose & Ruby wants to do. We’ve already had the drugging of Kim storyline in home farm when it was Jamie Tate…” the fan added.

While on a Facebook fan page, a third viewer wrote: “Could Jamie Kim’s son be behind it all, to ruin Kim.” Someone else replied: “She needs to watch out if he’s coming back he already tried to kill her.”

Jamie, played by Alexander Lincoln, was last seen on screen in 2021 after faking his own death in a car crash. With his mum Kim convinced he’d passed away, Jamie secretly went to live with daughter Millie and her gran.

At one point during his stint in the village, Jamie famously poisoned mum Kim, fed up of her m manipulating and meddling. She found out what was going on though and disowned and disinherited him.
