Emmerdale newbie John Sugden’s true colours revealed – and it’s not good news for Aaron

John Sugden, the latest addition to Emmerdale, is set to reveal his true colours – and

it doesn’t look good for Aaron Dingle.

Farnworth’s character made a memorable entrance earlier this week. In a recent episode,

Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) was on his way to meet a ‘hook up’ when he was stopped by the enigmatic newcomer John Sugden, whose van had broken down.

The two recognised each other from a dating app and things quickly escalated. After their roadside romp, Aaron tried to get to know John better, but he remained aloof.

However, while Aaron was using the toilet outside, John seized the opportunity to rob him, driving off and leaving Aaron stranded in the countryside without his keys or wallet.

It was later revealed that John is actually the half-brother of Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins), as well as the half-brother of Aaron’s ex Robert (Ryan Hawley).

Later, John arrived in the village to have his van repaired. When Aaron realised who he was, he was livid and confronted him – leading to a fight and a stern warning from John to Aaron.

Next week’s spoilers reveal a dramatic twist in the tale. In Monday’s episode (August 12), John is livid to discover his van has been nicked from the garage and he has a pretty good idea who’s behind it.

Aaron starts to panic when it becomes apparent that Mack is the culprit behind the stolen van, and an irate John loses his temper when he spots his van submerged in a lake.

John swears vengeance, but Aaron and Mack are left feeling remorseful when Victoria discloses that the van was John’s abode. Soon after, John leads Aaron on, making him believe he’s interested.

John is left fuming next week

However, when Aaron attempts to make a move, it’s evident that John is just toying with him, leaving Aaron feeling embarrassed.

Later in the week, Mack tries to intimidate John into leaving the village by taking a swing at him, but John easily deflects the attack with his professional moves.

A shocked Cain intervenes, separating Mack and John, and announces that he’s offered John a job at the farm while he’s in the village. Vic is thrilled to learn that John will be sticking around the village for a bit longer.

In the meantime, Chas encourages Aaron to confide in her about John. Later, Vic hands back some army dog tags to John, but John is unsettled by her prying into his past.
