The episode featured veterinary surgeons Tom King and Paddy Dingle trying their best to impress him. However, he wasn’t having any of it.

The newcomer started criticizing Tom and Paddy, claiming they had “no idea” what they were doing with the sheep. Emmerdale spoilers suggest that viewers were thrilled to see a farmer back in the Dales. It brought back memories of older episodes.

Fans flooded Twitter with excitement and demanded to make him a permanent member. Additionally, the soap dropped a bomb as it confirmed David Metcalfe is not making a comeback to the village after abruptly leaving last year. Emmerdale spoilers remember that the shopkeeper exited after discovering son Jacob and ex-girlfriend Victoria’s affair.

In the coming episodes, Jacob discovers the truth from his grandad, Eric. Eric states, “He is not coming back.” As Jacob gets heartbroken, his mum, Leyla, blames him for the situation. But, according to Emmerdale spoilers, he assures the mother that he will call David and urge him to reconsider, as the shopkeeper promised to his grandad.

In response, Leyla points to the for-sale sign on David’s cottage. She mentioned that if there were any chance of David changing his mind, the sign wouldn’t be there. Leyla expresses, “Hope you and Victoria will be very happy living together. I think I’d prefer to find a place by myself.”
