Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter spilled the beans about a storyline that had her in tears. Let us tell you it’s about Grace Dingle, the daughter of Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk. She came into the world in October 2018, but tragically, she only lived for 29 minutes.

Lucy confessed that it was the toughest storyline she’s ever tackled. On Tuesday’s This Morning, the actress shared that she had just become a mom to twins in real life, so portraying the loss of a child on Emmerdale screen hit her hard. She expressed, “It was the first time that I think I’ve properly sobbed doing a storyline and not been able to stop when they said cut.”

Despite the sadness, the soap star described it as a beautiful story to tell. After Grace’s tragic passing, Chas went through a lot. To begin with, her affair with Al Chapman totally wrecked her marriage to Paddy Kirk. Later in Emmerdale, Paddy found love again, but Chas continued to grieve.
