Rose Jackson in Emmerdale is working on a secret plot. But the question is, who with?

Although all the evidence points to Rose plotting alongside Ruby Fox-Miligan, there is another theory that perhaps a much-longed for Joe Tate return could be on the cards. So what do you think?

Rose plots in Emmerdale

Rose’s arrival in Emmerdale last month was quite the surprise. It seems ex Will was still down as her emergency contact and was called when she was taken into hospital.

She then decided to introduce herself to estranged daughter, Dawn, and has been invited to stay at Home Farm. Vulnerable Dawn needs all the support she can get as baby son Evan undergoes chemotherapy for leukaemia.

However, it now seems Rose’s intentions aren’t entirely honorable. In fact, she is plotting with someone and that’s the whole reason she’s staying in town.

During an episode earlier this week, Rose was seen making a secretive telephone call in the Woolpack. In a fleeting moment, she was heard saying to the person on the other end of the line: “I’m nearly part of the furniture… they are starting to accept me. But let’s take our time on this, no point rushing.”

But who was she talking to? There are theories doing the rounds and one is that it’s Joe Tate!

An Emmerdale return for Joe Tate?

Viewers will remember Kim Tate ordered nephew Joe to be killed. Cain Dingle thought he had murdered Joe when he pushed him for jilting daughter Debbie at the altar. Joe hit his head on a rock and Graham Foster told Cain he’d deal with the body.

We then saw Joe’s hand twitch, revealing he was still alive. Viewers were then lead to believe Graham had finished the job.

Some months later, it was exposed that Joe was still alive and Graham had helped him run abroad.

Fans of the show have long-since called for a comeback and often suspect he is working with someone in the village to get back at Kim Tate. Most recent suggestions included Caleb Miligan.

However, now a fan wonders if he’s working with Rose: “Could it be Joe Tate checking that the coast is clear before returning to claim Home Farm?” they mused.

Rose and Ruby working together?

However, it would appear the most likely candidate is Ruby Fox-Miligan. Although Ruby and Rose have never actually interacted, on Friday, Ruby received a message to her phone saying “I can’t do this any more, we need to talk.”

The mystery sender wasn’t revealed but on Monday May 27 Ethan Anderson will catch Rose and Ruby in conversation. He is worried about what he has heard and particularly nervous over the implications for Dawn.

But what are Ruby and Rose up to? And are they the only two in this plotting partnership – or could Joe Tate also be involved?
