Sinister plots and devastating developments for key Dales families (Picture: ITV)

There’s serious danger and peril in Emmerdale next week, with new weekly spoilers revealing a nightmare for Dawn and Billy Fletcher (Olivia Bromley and Jay Kontzle) as they fear for baby Evan, while Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) is stabbed after a situation between his mate Josh and Matty (Ash Palmisciano) escalates.

Evan’s symptoms after chemotherapy are leaving his parents devastated, Dawn continues to panic about the possibility of germs being spread.

With Dawn exhausted, Rose (Christine Tremarco) offers her some heavy sleeping tablets, only to then discover her daughter is a recovering addict.

She is certainly continuing to wear thin her welcome, particularly in the eyes of Kim Tate (Claire King).

Meanwhile, when Samson’s vulgar friend Josh starts picking a fight with Matty, things get serious when he starts dead-naming him and issuing transphobic vitriol.

When a struggle then ensues, Samson is accidentally stabbed but when things spiral, Matty realises he is being suspected of committing the act deliberately…

However, Will’s horrified when he catches Rose offering Dawn some heavy-duty sleeping tablets. Telling her that Dawn is in recovery, Will warns Rose that she’s on her last chance at Home Farm.

When Dawn makes clear she’s forgiven Rose for her faux pas over the sleeping tablets, and is grateful for the time they’ve spent together, Rose basks in the warmth of her daughter’s acceptance. However, Rose is left riled when Kim reminds her she’s a long way from Will’s forgiveness.

Rose tells Ruby about the latest hitch in the plan to destroy Kim but Ruby reminds her of the stakes of the operation.

Sharing a beer on the Humpback Bridge, Cain reminds Liam that he cares about how he’s doing.

Rhona’s sick of Marlon harping on about her past actions. When Charles visits, Rhona can’t help engaging in a chat about a potential christening for Ivy.

Marlon returns in the middle of the conversation, stunned that Rhona has seemingly made another major decision without him.

Rhona explains that Charles was the one who raised the prospect of christening Ivy, however, the fact that Rhona always has a justifiable reason why she makes decisions without him is part of Marlon’s frustration with her.
