Emmerdale hunk Emile John has appeared to drop a bombshell that he might be waving goodbye to the Dales, teasing fans with cryptic social media posts during his swanky Bali getaway.
The actor who brings the character Ethan Anderson to life on our screens has been soaking up the sun and dropping some subtle hints about Ethan’s future in a Q&A session with his followers on Instagram.

In response, Emile shared a video with the words: “I.. mean.. look… the thing is… basically… I mean hey that’s the… yeah.”
TV addicts have been glued to their tellies watching Ethan spiral after running away after he crashed his car with his friend Nicky in the passenger seat. Nicky was left for dead while Ethan tried to scrub his hands clean of the whole mess. But when he tried to ask his dad Charles, for an alibi, Charles, who is the village priest, reported him to the police instead. Ethan’s accidental crash proved to be lethal as Nicky was fighting for his life in hospital.
In recent scenes, ensuring she got her revenge, Ruby, Nicky’s mum, owned up to mowing Ethan down and warned him she’d finish what she started if her son didn’t pull through. Lucky for Ethan, Nicky’s finally come round, but now Ethan is preparing to face further consequences in court.
However, the plot’ is set to thicken as Emmerdale spoilers reveal that Ethan’s going to keel over next week. His step mum Manpreet Sharma will try her very best to keep him alive, but despite this, even if she manages to sustain his unexpected health crisis, Ethan’s still staring down the barrel of a jail sentence.
